ROI / performance
Numbers that make sense.
A commercial system typically pays for itself in 3–4 years and then delivers decades of near-free power. We monitor every plant in real time so performance stays on target.

What does a commercial solar plant cost?
Commercial systems start at around ₹3.50 Lakh for 5 KW, and the price per KW falls as the system grows — typically ₹50,000 to ₹57,000 per KW at commercial scale. We quote after a load study and site survey, itemised line by line.
What is the payback period for commercial solar?
Usually 3.5 to 5 years, and faster once accelerated depreciation is applied. Commercial tariffs of ₹8 to ₹11 per unit against a solar cost of ₹3 to ₹4 per unit are what drive the return. Panels are warranted 25 years, so the two decades after payback are near-free power.
Do businesses get the PM Surya Ghar subsidy?
No. That subsidy is for residential connections only. Businesses instead claim accelerated depreciation on the system under the Income Tax Act, which for most profitable companies is worth considerably more than the residential subsidy would be. Confirm the current rate and your own position with your CA.
Which businesses benefit most from solar?
Any business with heavy daytime electricity use and roof or ground space: food processing and namkeen units, cold storage, hotels and marriage gardens, hospitals, schools and colleges, showrooms, petrol pumps, and textile, wool or ceramic units. Daytime load is the key factor, because that is when solar generates.
How much roof area does a commercial system need?
About 100 sq ft per KW, so a 50 KW system needs roughly 5,000 sq ft and a 100 KW system about 10,000 sq ft. Factory and warehouse sheds are usually ideal because they are large, flat and unshaded.
How long does commercial solar installation take?
Allow about 65 days from order to a live, net-metered system. The build itself is the short part — a few days for a small rooftop, a few weeks for a large array. Most of the calendar goes on DISCOM approval, any sanctioned-load change and net-meter fitting.
Will solar disrupt our operations during installation?
No. The array is built on the roof while you carry on working below. Only the final grid tie-in needs a short, scheduled shutdown, which we plan around your operating hours.
What happens to the extra power we generate?
It is exported to the grid through your net meter and credited against your consumption, so you are billed only for the net units drawn over the cycle. Export limits and net-metering rules vary by connection type and sanctioned load, and we confirm yours during the survey.
Can you handle a multi-site rollout?
Yes. We have been executing since 2018 with our own crews, and handle multi-site commercial and industrial work along with the full DISCOM and compliance paperwork for each location. For ground-mount and MW-scale projects see our enterprise and EPC page.
